California has been burning up from both ends this week, with the deadliest and most destructive fire to date being the Camp Fire in Butte County which has burned over 140,000 acres in Northern California and killed 56 people thus far.

The scorched area just north of Sacramento is the worst fire we have ever seen. In Southern California, The Woolsey Fire in Los Angeles County has burned close to 100,000 acres- with 83% of Santa Monica Mountains Federal Park Land up in flames and 3 confirmed fatalities in the area.

I talked with a leading climate scientist from the University of Idaho and local land management expert to better understand what fuels these fires...
